Keeneland Assistant Director of Sales Operations
A native of Henderson, KY, Dean Roethemeier is the Assistant Director of Sales Operations at Keeneland. Dean attended the University of Louisville and graduated with a degree in Equine Business. Before enrolling in the Darley Flying Start program, Dean worked at Churchill Downs, Inc. as a Twin Spires Coordinator. Upon graduating from Darley Flying Start in 2008, Dean accepted a position in Darley’s global marketing department at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket, England. There, he supported Darley’s sales staff in Europe, the USA, Japan and Australia by providing research and tailored marketing messages for clients. In late 2011, Dean relocated to Lexington, Kentucky to take up a stallion nominations role at Darley where he worked for seven years before taking up his current position at Keeneland. His role at Keeneland involves client relations, sales operations, and market development. He resides in Lexington with his wife, Brittany Roethemeier.
