Virginia Thoroughbred Project: Annual Barn Party

Every year, this event benefits the Virginia Thoroughbred Project (VTP), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the aftercare of these magnificent animals. The VTP, located on the historic grounds of James Madison’s Montpelier, is committed to providing a lifetime of tranquility for Thoroughbreds whose racing careers were cut short by injury or who were not suitable for the demanding sport. With their tireless efforts, the VTP ensures these horses receive the care, love, and support they need and by attending their Annual Barn Party, you will directly contribute to the VTP’s mission and join them in setting the gold standard for Thoroughbred aftercare in Virginia.  

Secretariat Center: Bluegrass Brunch and Bubbles at Jonabell Farm

Join the Secretariat Center for their annual fundraiser, this year at Jonabell Farm! 3333 Bowman Mill Road, Lexington, KY     The annual Secretariat Center Bluegrass Brunch and Bubbles Fundraiser is headed to a destination location this year and will be hosted at the picturesque Jonabell Farm! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet some of the most famous Thoroughbreds in racing history while also supporting horses in transition to finding second careers after racing. They will have: Bluegrass Brunch including bottomless mimosas Artwork & music Silent auction Tours, stallion viewings & more Tickets for the Secretariat Center Brunch and Bubbles at Jonabell Farm will also include general admission tickets to Keeneland Racetrack for the day, swag bags filled with amazing gifts from sponsors, as well as a southern breakfast and award winning good times. Breakout Legacy

Every year during Spring Break season, we offer a one-day program for youth ages 7 - 17 to have some fun on the farm! Students are invited to sign up for our Breakout Legacy session. Participants will spend the day with their favorite rescue horses, learn all about what it takes to care for them, and even have a chance to ride and play games on horseback (weather-dependent)!

HART Spring Benefit Horse Show

HART’s Spring Benefit Fun Show at Jester Park Equestrian Center starts at 10 a.m.! All net proceeds of the Benefit Fun Show will aid HART in its mission of rehabilitating and re-homing of Thoroughbreds. The event is fully accessible to any HART supporters that wish to come out and show us what they and their horses can do, or general HART supporters who wish to come and simply watch and have fun!! Of course, we are hoping to attract as many HART horse alums as we can and may even have a couple special awards or recognition for HART alums besides the winners of their respective classes. We are also making available sponsorships at the show! The four tier sponsorship levels will be Best In Show, Grand Champion, Blue Ribbon, and Friend of HART. The event will have on hand concessions, t-shirt/polo sales, general information about HART, and of course some of our HART horses that will be up for adoption currently!
