A lifelong advocate of Thoroughbreds, Phoenix is campaigning two Thoroughbred mounts in the CCI5*-L at LRK3DE— Bogue Sound and Wabbit. Limited signed copies of Phoenix’s biography Rise will be offered in exchange for a donation to the TAA.

Hats Off Day
Kentucky Horse Park 4089 Iron Works Pkwy, Lexington, KY, United StatesHats Off Day celebrates the impact of the horse industry with a day of free admission to the Lexington-based Kentucky Horse Park. Now in its 19th year, Hats Off Day offers family-friendly activities, starting from 3 to 10 p.m., including horse and pony rides, interactive educational booths, and a Grand Prix show jumping competition. Hats Off Day is the only day of the year when the Kentucky Horse Park admission is free.

RRP Thoroughbred Makeover
Kentucky Horse Park 4089 Iron Works Pkwy, Lexington, KY, United StatesThe Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) once again enters as a sponsor of the Retired Racehorse Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover. In conjunction with sponsoring the makeover, the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance High Point Award will continue to be offered to the highest placed Thoroughbred adopted from or is owned by a TAA-accredited organization. The showcase of recently retrained off-track Thoroughbreds will take place at the Kentucky Horse Park October 12th to the 15th. Of the 377 horses entered across 10 divisions, 57 contestants are eligible to win the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance High Point Award, including a $1,000 cash prize split between the rider and the TAA-accredited organization from which the horse was adopted. Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event
Kentucky Horse Park 4089 Iron Works Pkwy, Lexington, KY, United StatesThe Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event at The Kentucky Horse Park Thursday April 27th- Sunday April 30th, 2023 The ultimate test of horse and rider! One event, three disciplines, testing the resolve of the timeless partnership between horse and rider. DRESSAGE on Thursday and Friday is held in the breathtaking outdoor stadium at the Kentucky Horse Park, where spectators enjoy the grace, refined beauty and elegance of dressage as competitors trot their way through the first phase of competition. Dressage, which tests the gaits, suppleness and obedience of the horse through a series of prescribed movements. The Second phase, CROSS-COUNTRY, is the highlight of Eventing. Saturday is the most exciting day of Kentucky Three-Day Event as thousands gather to watch horses and riders gallop over four miles of the challenging terrain, at speeds up to 25 mph, while negotiating remarkable obstacles, water hazards, banks and ditches. The JUMPING TEST, the final phase, brings the energy and precision of jumping back to the outdoor stadium on Sunday. Spectators from across the globe witness the world’s finest horses and riders test their athletic ability, conditioning and training as they soar over obstacles.

The Community Outreach Booth program will highlight a total of 40 non-profits throughout the season by sharing information about their work and fundraising initiatives. NYRA will also prominently feature its Community Partner of the Day in the Post Parade racing program which will be available for purchase at select retail locations across the Capital Region as well as throughout the New York City metropolitan area.
