This Old Horse: “Day of Remembrance” Open House and Memory Circle

This Old Horse

“We will meet again, in the clearing, at the end of the path.” This Old Horse's mission to support older and special needs horses is one of great joy and great heartache. Vowing to be there until the end is a profound privilege and we are blessed to accept that it does not get ‘easier’ as time goes on. Horses that share the end of their life’s path with This Old Horse are deeply mourned, never forgotten, fondly recalled by those of us who have been touched, moved, humbled by their presence in our lives. This Old Horse has a quiet path at their Wishbone Ranch site, well planned and lovingly tended by This Old Horse volunteers who have created spaces for people to walk, sit, watch horses, and reflect. This Old Horse intends to pave the path to this memory garden with bricks that commemorate horses, humans, pets and events that have touched the hearts of people in the community. The brick memorial fundraiser will kick off on their Day of Remembrance event on Saturday. Memory Lane will be built with bricks that include messages and memories. The message bricks come in 4” x 8” ($75) and 8”x8” ($100). There is also a This Old Horse logo brick (no message) that is 12”x12” for $200.
