  Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga is thrilled to host a benefit concert played by John Oates! Oates was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2004, and in 2014 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as a member of Daryl Hall & John Oates. His memoir, Change of Seasons, was published in 2017. John is an avid horseman who believes in the mission we are serving here at THS and all proceeds from this concert will go to the betterment of horses in aftercare that are aiding to heal people right here in our community. Old Tavern Farm Winery will be offering wine, and Artisanal Brew Works will offer beer. We will havepPizza available by Fierros Pizza Truck as well as offerings by Spring Street Deli. Equine Advocates’ 22nd Annual Gala promises to be one of the most anticipated events in Upstate New York this fall. On Saturday, September 9, 2023, Judy Collins will perform live at PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century —an amazing 300-Seat Open-Air Pavilion Theater in Chatham, NY. Prior to the performance, VIP ticket holders and Sponsors will attend an outdoor cocktail party catered by Candle Café of NYC at Equine Advocates Rescue & Sanctuary, which is conveniently located just one mile from the venue. The proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the care of the 80 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules who call the sanctuary home and toward the rescue of other equines in jeopardy. Don’t miss out on Redwings Horse Sanctuary’s 3rd Annual Block Party Fundraiser taking place this Sunday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monte Mills and the Lucky Horseshoe Band will be providing wonderful music throughout the day. There will be fine wine from some of Paso’s best wineries along with cold beer and delicious food served up by Chef Charlie. Redwings would be remiss if they didn’t mention the most important part: the opportunity to get to know the amazing horses that call Redwings home. There will be demonstrations for everyone to enjoy and, of course, the silent and live auctions that will take place throughout the day! Don’t miss your chance to bid on a trip to France or a wine dinner for eight people at McPhee’s Bar Grill. This annual event is Redwings’ key fundraiser, and the donations support medical care and feed for the horses for the year.
