Grab your friends and family for a fun "trot" before the Thanksgiving Day feast! Out Side In is hosting our 10th Annual 5K fundraiser downtown Grand Haven, Michigan. This 5K is family and kid friendly.  All of the proceeds of this race will support our Heroes for Horses program for Veterans suffering from PTSD. Learn more about the Heroes for Horses program here.   Can't join us in person or plan to saddle up for this 5k? You can still support the cause by signing up for the virtual race!   Pre-Registration Includes: Each participant will receive a t-shirt, horseshoe participation medal, and a certificate for free ice cream from Sweet Temptations!   In-Person Registration Includes: Each participant will receive a horseshoe participation medal! T-shirts will be available until we run out. Inventory of t-shirts nor your size is guaranteed.   Virtual Registration Includes: Each participant will receive a t-shirt and horseshoe participation medal   Event details and schedule   IN PERSON RACE Race starts at 8:30am. Registration opens at 7:30am the day of the race. Racers that have pre-registered are required to pick up their packet the day before the race. Pick-up times and dates will be emailed out at the begining of November. Packets will be availale for pick up at Out Side In's facility, 12511 152nd Avenue in Grand Haven. Course will start and finish at the YMCA's parking area. Please use the Y parking lot for parking, registration will be set up there. Be sure to dress weather appropriately! The course does bring us down Harbor Drive near the state park, in years past it's gotten quite icey around there if it's raining/snowing. Not in town? Run the race virtually! Register through the Active website, then send us a picture of your running your route!   VIRTUAL RACE Submit photos of you and your group to our facebook page! There will be prizes for the participant(s) Who ran or rode from the farthest away Had the biggest family or friend group running or riding together Ran or rode the most unique route! You can run anytime or any place between when you register and Sunday November, 26. T-shirts, medals and prizes will be mailed after the closing of the race.

Stop by Santa's Village before and after The Lisbon Christmas Parade (starts at 12pm) to enjoy holiday shopping at numerous vendor booths, partake in magical "reindeer" rides and capture memories with Santa himself. There are also various activities for the kiddos and our farm will be open for self-guided tours! Warm refreshments, the makings for s'mores and firepits will also be provided! Bring your non-perishable food items with you and drop them in the bins provided, in support of Farmers Feed The Hungry. We look forward to welcoming you to Santa's Village!

Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance will be in attendance as the Official Charity for the 53rd annual Eclipse Awards, set to begin at 7:30 PM EST on January 25, 2024 at The Breakers Palm Beach in Florida. Hosted by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), this event celebrates the racing champions of 2023 and highlights the excellence of Thoroughbreds in the sport. Furthermore, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association organized a 'Sip, Shop, and Support' event, with three participating stores generously donating a percentage of their proceeds to Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. The stores are Lilly Pulitzer, J. Mclaughlin, and Oumere. Additionally, Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance will hold a raffle featuring select items from these stores, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting their cause. Store hours are scheduled from 12 PM to 3 PM.
