Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance-accredited organizations were well represented with a number of graduates competing at the Fair Hill Thoroughbred Horse Show Sept. 22-23 at the Fair Hill Nature Center in Elkton, Maryland.
The TAA awarded two horses, one in the hunters and another in the jumper division, as the highest-placing TAA graduates in their respective division.
The hunter TAA grad award was given to Sunrise Bird (shown below), who was ridden by Sophie Bonsib. The now 6-year-old son of Summer Bird earned a 1-1-3 record from 13 starts on the racetrack. He is a graduate of TAA-accredited MidAtlantic Horse Rescue.
The jumper TAA grad award winner was Klassic Storm, who is a graduate of TAA-accredited New Vocations. The Alysheba gelding was adopted from New Vocations Pennsylvania facility in April of 2014. Klassic Storm is shown in the photo at the top competing at the Virginia Horse Center CCI*.
